Shalva Chigirinsky was born in 1949.
Graduated from the First Moscow State Medical Institute.
In 1989 he founded Moscow’s first privately held Western-oriented real estate development company which entered the market creating the Western top level offices and executive residential apartments in Moscow, which later became Russian Land; as such he has over 18 years of experience in the real estate business.
Currently, the companies of Shalva Chigirinsky execute a range of property development projects costing over 4 billion dollars. Among them, the overwhelming 600m Russia Tower, which will be the tallest sky scrapper in Europe; a huge elite hotel and shopping complex in the area adjacent to the Kremlin; a 2-million square meter entertainment centre, the largest in the world, attracting 16 million visitors a year.
Along with his wide-spread property development interests, Mr. Chigirinsky is also the largest shareholder and a Director in Sibir Energy Plc, (AIM listed on the London Stock Exchange), which holds significant oil reserves throughout Russia.
