Dmitry Kiselev is the host of the popular news program Vesti and a social-political talk show called The National Interest on the Rossiya channel. He has extensive experience in broadcast journalism, having made a number of documentaries before appearing in front of the camera. He has also worked in radio.

Kiselev holds a degree in philology from Leningrad University.
