Sergei Kruglik has been Russia’s regional development minister since October 2007 after having spent more than two decades in the public sector. He started out his career as senior hydrogeologist in Krasnoyarsk, eventually moving from serving various functions in regional governments to the federal level in 1998.
He holds a degree in mountain engineering and hydrogeology from Irkutsk Polytechnic Institute and in economics from the Russian Academy for State Services.[an error occurred while processing the directive]
