James Martin founded the James Martin Institute for Science and Civilization and the 21st Century School at Oxford University. He is also a senior fellow at the James Martin Center for Non-Proliferation Studies at the Monterey Institute in California.
Martin has written more textbooks than any other living person – 103. Many have been seminal in their field. His latest book, "The Meaning of the 21st Century" is being made into a major film. He is a Pulitzer nominee for his book "The Wired Society".
In addition to a PhD in literature from Oxford, Martin has honorary doctorates from all six (permanently inhabited) continents.
